MEET OUR 2017 ORGANIZERS – TEDDY DIANA POZO

Welcome back to our ‘Meet the 2017 Organizers’ series, where we showcase one of our dedicated organizers working behind the scenes of QGCon to make it all happen!

This week in the spotlight is Teddy Diana Pozo, lending their skills and talents to our speakers, panels, and more!

Pronouns: they/them/theirs
What city do you live in?: Oakland, CA
What identities do you hold?: Genderqueer Femme
What are your favorite games?: Recently I’ve been playing Stardew Valley and Kirby’s Epic Yarn (my partner calls it “Gay Yarn Boy”). Some other favorites are Curtain by Llaura Dreamfeel (shown at QGCon 2014!), and Chibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure! for Nintendo GameCube.
If you could live in any game world, what would it be? Why?: I would be really excited to live in Kirby’s rent-free apartment in Kirby’s Epic Yarn! The pacifist route of Undertale has a bunch of queer characters and represents nonbinary gender identity, so I could also live in that version of the Underground.
What about QGcon are you most excited about?: Every year I’m really excited to see the new work that queer scholars and artists are doing in game development and game studies. I’m also excited to catch up with old friends and meet new ones, and maybe do some karaoke?
Exciting update: the call for games is now up and live! Submit your game to our 2017 QGCon Arcade!
